Detroit scores 37 unanswered points to overwhelm the Packers and win their annual Thanksgiving Day event for the first time in 10 years.
The Lions' dominated the Packers in a 30-point win picking up their first Thanksgiving day victory since 2001. The Lions (7-5) had lost 5 consecutive games against Green Bay and a franchise-record nine straight on Thanksgiving day prior to today's' 40 - 10 victory.
The Packers (5-6-1) continue their slide having not won a game since losing Aaron Rodgers four-plus games ago.
Matthew Stafford, 22/35 330yards 3-TD's, 2-INT's, Reggie Bush - 20 carries 117 yards 1-TD & Calvin Johnson 6 receptions 101 yards 1-TD, led a Lions offense that amassed 561 Total Yards. Detroit overcame early turnovers and a 7 point deficit to score 30 unanswered points and reward Stafford with his first victory over a green Bay team.

The Lions defense, led by DL Ndamukong Suh, rattled QB Matt Flynn - (10/20 139 yards 1-INT), sacking him 7 times and knocking him around another dozen times. The Detroit defense held the Packers offense in check all day as they were determined to not allow Flynn a repeat of his 2011 460+ yards 6-TD performance. The Packers offense a was mere shadow of itself only gaining 126 total yards. The Green Bay faithful can only hope for better days and the return of All-Pro QB Aaron Rodgers. The Lions, for their victory, can rest a few days and now look to gain momentum as they attempt to win their division for the first time in nearly 20 years.
